The Xtra Lite Triple was never designed to turn 9200 rpms and push out over 110 horsepower, which is why bolt on mods are all it can handle. A big factor in many piped and built up XLT failures is excessive heat. What a great start. I bought a new belt and thought nothing of it. but when I went to ride it with the new belt, it bogs badly unless I work the throttle and choke.
